PCD

PCD Lunglei District was established on December 13, 2006, by the District Board (Kohhranpui) under an Organiser model, and this date is observed as District PCD Day. Bro. B. Lalchangliana (Venghlun) was appointed as the Organiser, and under his leadership, initiatives were carried out during 2007–2008. From 2009–2010, the District Board began forming it with official Office Bearers. PCD Textbooks are specifically prepared for both older and younger children groups. PCD Rallies are held regularly, with the first Rally conducted on November 28–29, 2009. Whenever Sections (Bial) organize PCD Rallies, District Office Bearers are invited to participate, serve as Speakers, act as Judges for competitions, and lead seminars or fulfill other assigned responsibilities. Outreach visits are conducted across various local churches for seminars, awareness programs, and PCD Day celebrations, while all Sections are encouraged to organize Rallies. Dedicated efforts are made at both Section and Local levels to keep children free from drugs, alcohol, and tobacco usage. Currently, PCD is established across 19 Sections and 83 Local Churches, with a membership fee of ₹5/- remitted to the District PCD. The total PCD membership currently stands at 3,511, comprising 1,801 boys and 1,710 girls.
