1. INITIATIVES AND FORMATION OF THE SECTION :

Before Sertlangpui Section was established, it was part of Thenhlum Section. In the 1977 District Conference, Thenhlum Section was divided into two, forming Thuampui Section. The first Section Pastor at that time was Pastor Lalhranga. The Section Centre was located at Thuampui. Subsequently, on April 1st, 1977, the new Section was officially established.

Then, in 1979, the Section Centre at Thuampui was moved to Sertlangpui, though it still retained the name Thuampui Section. After some time, in February 1981, Sertlangpui Section was officially formed. Consequently, the construction of the Pastor Quarters began in 1981.

4. ACQUISITION OF SECTION CENTRE AND CONSTRUCTION OF QUARTERS :

As mentioned above, before Sertlangpui Section was established, it was part of Thenhlum Section. At the 1977 District Conference, Thenhlum Section was divided into two, forming Thuampui Section. Thuampui was designated as the Section Centre. On April 1st, 1977, the new Section was established.

In 1979, the Section Centre at Thuampui was moved to Sertlangpui, though it continued to carry the name Thuampui Section. After some time, in February 1981, Sertlangpui Section officially came into being.

Regarding the Quarters:

In 1981, construction of the Pastor Quarters began at Sertlangpui. The details of the quarters constructed and their completion years are as follows:

5. SOME NOTABLE EVENTS WITHIN THE SECTION :

Due to the inauguration of Thenhlum Section at the 1993 District Conference, Changpui Local, which was under Sertlangpui Section, was transferred to join Thenhlum Section. Additionally, Dengsur was inducted on July 3rd, 1988, to be added to the locals within Sertlangpui Section (though it appears it had not yet fully established itself as a regular Local at that time). Currently, the locals within Sertlangpui Section are:
