Thianghlimna Committee

North East India Pentecostal churches have taken strong initiatives regarding holiness and purity. Likewise, various Districts have actively promoted holiness within their respective areas. Lunglei District has also taken major steps, expecting its members to refrain from tobacco, betel nut, alcohol, and intoxicating substances; this is also clearly stated in Section 7 of Chapter 3 of the Lunglei District Guidelines. Thus, the Holiness Committee was established in Lunglei District. To this day, this Committee continues its tireless efforts toward promoting holiness.

PROPERTY :

Possesses a Laptop, Projector, and Printer. Currently, a request is being prepared to submit to the main church body for purchasing an Almirah.

ACTIVITIES :

The Holiness Committee actively takes measures in various ways to help the church congregation grow in holiness. Campaigns and tours are routinely conducted across various Presbyteries and Locals, where study papers and seminars are prepared, yielding great fruit. Furthermore, initiatives were taken to help CEC school teachers, the District UPC Choir, and Ministers' wives abstain from tobacco and betel nut, which produced very positive results. Appeals have been made to Church Workers and Elders to abstain from tobacco and betel nut, and a request was submitted to the District Board stating, "Those who use tobacco or betel nut should not be appointed as Office Bearers in Presbyteries or Locals, even in uniform." This is being actively pursued. Starting from 2025, active steps are planned to launch an intensive holiness campaign in close collaboration with the District Sunday School. The Holiness Committee continues to work actively to advance the spiritual purity of church members under the following topics: 1. Purity: In Sexuality 2. Purity from Corruption 3. Purity: In Information Technology 4. The Harms of Tobacco & Betel Nut and How to Quit May the Lord continue to guide us so that our beloved church members may continuously grow in holiness.
