Belthei village used to be under the Lungsen Pastorate, but currently, it falls under the Zawlpui Pastorate. It is located on the P.B. Road heading north from Phairuangkai, on the western side of Lunglei. Before the establishment of the church in Belthei village, Bro. V. Lalrinenga and his family were already residing there, putting in their utmost efforts to keep the flame of Pentecost burning. God blessed their hard work, and on August 23, 1998, a wonderful church was established, officially formed by the Pastorate Minister, Rev. MS. Dawngliana. At the time of its formation, the church had 39 members, and the first leaders were as follows:

When the church was first established, they did not have a church building of their own. For three full years, they held worship services in private homes. On November 6, 2001, the District Superintendent, Rev. Zalawma, conducted a solemn foundation stone laying ceremony for the church building and dedicated it to God for its smooth construction. In addition to the wholehearted efforts of the local church members, support and contributions were received from various places as follows:

3. Rahsiveng Sect. P.Y.D : Rs. 2,000.00
4. Lungsen Pastorate PYD : Rs. 1,500.00
5. Rahsiveng Pastorate M/D : Rs. 4,598.00

Total : Rs. 23,000.00

Through the dedication of zealous believers and the commitment of the local members, the construction of the church building was completed. On February 14, 2004, the District Treasurer, Rev. R. Lalrosanga, officially inaugurated and dedicated the building to God.

Current Status :

Currently, the church has 51 members (Year 2025) comprising 7 households. Construction of an RCC church building commenced in 2020, with the foundation stone laid by the District Superintendent, Rev. R. Lalrosanga. The building measures 30/18 Feet.
