HISTORY OF CHURCH FORMATION:

In 1952, Pu Challianruma and his family moved to Buarpui from Samlukhai; they were a Spirit-filled family. Pu Ruma ministered by teaching about the Deity of Jesus. Among those who listened to his teachings, Pi Zanghingi, Pi Hmingi, Pi Darpuii, Pu Thangbanglova and his wife, and his daughter Pi Tansiami were baptized in the name of Jesus in 1961.

In 1966, the following people were baptized in the name of Jesus: Mualtawna, H. Zoliana, Lalnunmawia, Lalrammawii, and Pi Lalsiami. After receiving baptism, they regularly gathered together to fellowship and discuss the Word of God. In 1969, during the period of grouping villages due to political insurgency, a church was built and established in Buarpui alongside existing UPC members from Changpui village. From 1969 to this day, the church has continuously stood without its flame ever dying out. Being located in a predominantly Baptist area, church membership growth has not been very rapid. REGARDING THE CHURCH BUILDING:

A church building was constructed immediately in 1969, and as the congregation grew, it was dismantled in 1978. In 1992, the church building was relocated from the old village hilltop to the present Ramhlun church site. It was rebuilt in 1998 as an Assam-type structure and was inaugurated by Rev. Ralkapkunga Khiangte, celebrated with a grand feast.

The church building currently occupied is constructed with RCC. In 2021, Rev. C. Vanlalena, District Superintendent, laid the foundation stone. The church dimension measures 48 by 22 feet, and it is now fully occupied for worship.

PRESENT STATUS:

Currently, there are 57 members (2025 report), and various church departments have been systematically established.
